I'd want restore one of my vintage GP helicopter. It's a Hirobo Eagle of 1990 in a Jet Stream Kalt body. So i just bought froma friend this new (from old stock) heli engine from Japanease O.S.

It was the best engine, of begin of 90', in Class 60 (10cc). The 60 was the standard class for F3C competition at time (to 2000) and you can use it with 30% of nitro.

I will update my blog when i will restore the Eagle.

0 My Black Shark III with sceadu 50 EP

I bought this painted black shark III 50 by japanease Black product 3 or 4 years ago with a Hirobo Sceadu 50 GP. Only now i fitted that heli in this very nice body.

I converted the Sceadu 50 in ep power, with a dedicate kit called "sinus" (10 lipo and a old flyware motor), only some month ago.

Final weight of hely complete is 4.5kg and it is very fast :).

0 Hirobo Z starter for GP engine

I bought this starter at the begin of 90'. It was to able start rc hely engine from 30 to 60 class (10cc) with belt or cone starter.

Inside a powerful mabuchi 550 ep motor. It could be used with a 7.2v ni/cd battery pack or also a 9.6v pack.

0 Hirobo Sceadu 50 EP

A pic of my Hirobo Sceadu 50 with custom EP conversion.

The motor is an old flyware 600 motor. A 10S lipo pack is used with an Castle Creations 80 ICE 2 esc.

The radio is the nice JR XG-8 2.4 ghz with 8301 servos.

0 Vintage Hirobo and Jr brocure

Here are some of my old brochures and catalog by Hirobo and JR. A Hirobo 88/90 catalog with the whole production of time; from RC cars like the Jeaousy, Invade, Alien, etc. to Helicopters (Condor, Stork, Eagle) and airplanes. There are also heli fusolages and a load of heads 

The other brochure comes from JR second mid of  '90 period will full Ergo serie.

There also also some issues of "the Wings" the official magazine from JR  They are numbers 20/21/22 from 1996. Loads of JR news from high performance Heli like the Ergo 60 and Superio with dedicate F3C competition body called "Cygnus" to Jr gyroscopes.

0 Hirobo Invader SR 1/10 buggy

This is a rare Invader buggy by Hirobo. It comes from 1989. The chassis is very similar ro Kyosho Optima. The body is amazing. It seems a space ship. I think it has been the first buggy with underside lexan body to protect the main chassis.

My Invader is a SR version so without Mabuchi RX motor. The version with this motor included has called Si.

Now the question is: Left it in the box or i have to build it?

In the last pics you can se the Invader with my other NIB Hirobo's car 1/12 Ashura.

0 Hirobo Sceadu 50 EP Sinus conversion - Part I

Here is my old Hirobo Sceadu 50 with an EP conversion good for 10S li-po (37v) called Sinus. I bought both about 4 years ago and has never flown. At time i fit 4 JR DS8301 servos with a PCM10X. The EP motor is a german brushless outrunner flyware 600 light.

Now i bought the missing parts:

- 5s 5000mha li-po 35C packs x 2 by Hyperion
- Futaba GY520 gyro with S9253
- Castle Creation ICE2 HV 80 esc
- Radix blades

Like wrote in the previous post, last week,  i bought also a new JR radio; The 2.4 ghz XG8 an incredible good radio for the price.

Now hope to have time in the next days for final setup and then fly the Sinus.
